Orchard Project – August 2, 11am

Hi again, just in case everyone forgot, we have another event coming up this weekend – a fruit tree pruning session with the Orchard Project.

Some may have seen that one of our orchard trees has been severely cut back.

This is because someone harvested it very roughly last year and did it so much damage it has contracted a disease, and may need to be removed to prevent it infecting the other trees.

We spoke to our chums at the Orchard Project and they will visit the park in August to take a look at the poor tree, give an expert opinion, and also run a nice session on orchard pruning.

This event takes place on August 2 at 11am, so please turn up if you like trees, want to learn more about them, or want to pick up some fruit tree management skills. Bring your own secateurs, food will be provided, and we get to be good to the trees.
