Join the Orchard Project Tree Care Workshop – August 18, 4pm

Please join us for a hastily rearranged and last minute fruit tree pruning session with the Orchard Project, who will visit the park to take a look at our trees, tell us how they are doing, and run an interesting session on orchard care and pruning.

Their visit is part of a response to huge damage done to one of the fruit trees. The damage was so extreme the poor plum tree has become diseased. As you can see, it needed to be cut back severely and may need to be felled rather than infect other trees.

The experts will be with us between 4-6pm on Monday August 18, so please turn up if you like trees, want to learn more about them, or want to pick up some fruit tree management skills. Bring your own secateurs, some food will be provided, and we get to be good to the trees.
