Thank you from Wray Crescent Festival
Thank you
We wanted to thank you all for coming to the third Wray Crescent Festival. We hope you had a nice time and look forward to returning again on July 25 next year.
We also wanted to thank everyone who made the event possible, which would never have happened without the help of dozens and dozens of people. We will keep on building this grass roots community event for all of you.
Big thanks to everyone who helped
Big thanks are due to Islington’s parks team, particularly Julian and Shan who worked to make sure the event took place.
We also wanted to thank Tony at the N19 pub for kindly rocking up with his PA to run the stage of us, and for all those brilliant young performers – Maria, Eden, and Lydia. You were so impressive.
Of course, music would never have happened without power, and for that we wanted to thank Lee from Vinci Construction who kindly donated the generator used to power the stage area.

Big thank you for the raffle
We’d also like to thank Georgina and John from Pretty Shiny Shop.
They organised the raffle for us this year, with wonderful prizes contributed by local businesses. We so hope people went home with something they liked!
We cannot stress enough how important a contribution this makes to the festival. Without the raffle we could not fund the event, and without the prizes we would have no raffle.
So we are very, very grateful to Common Ground, Osteria Tufo, Pretty Shiny Shop, Tollington’s, F45, Bud Flowers, Mento Flowers and Coffee, HIDEN, Eva, Top Secret Comedy Club, Butlers, Sadlers Wells, Hello Yoga Studio, Fair-Well, N4 Coffee Fruit, Sandscape Kids Play & Cafe, Waggy Den, Ivory Boutique, Finsbury Bites, Oak N4, Astral Eternal, Clapton Craft, Deli at 80, Stephen Alexander, FS8 Finsbury Park and The Front Room.
Thank you for your support.

But the vibe wasn’t just from the stores who supported the raffle it was also from the traders and community groups who hosted stalls at the festival.
We don’t want to turn this into too much of a list, but thanks to all of you who hosted a stall at the festival – we hope you had some nice conversations, made a little money, and had a nice time. You help make our festival great and we are committed to working with you to make the event even better in future.
Then there were all the volunteers who did so much on the day. That’s you Sacha, Hettie, Karen, Viv, Rachael, Adam, Adam, Melissa, Georgina, John, Lee, Tony, Catherine, Jonathan, Des, Jenifer, Devika, Jacob, Sharonina, Leah, and Anna.
Also, thanks to all the people who helped leaflet before the event, including Katy, Estella, Sue, Eimear, Leah, Adam, Adam, Catherine, Sarah, Hettie, and Lucy. Thanks for helping to get the word out – leafletting is much harder than it looks and is still the very best way to tell people something is taking place.
There is one more volunteer who deserves special thanks – and that was Darrell who designs all our promotional literature. His work looks so good. Thank you Darrell.

Thanks for the entertainment
Finally, we really want to thank everyone who turned up to entertain us all.
Tottenham Community Choir, Bunny Nightingale, Eden Taylor, Maria Monroy, Lydia Haile, Andy Hamilton, Nick Putz, Bird of Paradise, the brilliant drumming and dancing kids of Amberleigh, Geoff Stilwell and his ukulele orchestra, Cycle Islington, the fabulous Sports School, Bobby Bubbles, Islington Libraries, and even our own MP, Jeremy Corbyn, who quietly showed up to say hello.

Thanks to all of you, and more, for making such a nice happy day happen. We hope you all had a good time. We can’t wait for the festival to return in July 2026, meanwhile if you would like to donate to the work we do please do so here. Or join our mailing list if you would like to get involved.
All the best.
