Urgent Appeal: We need volunteers October 26

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the AGM on October 19 – and please join us again for a special workshop session on October 26 between 11am-2pm.

Things have moved quite fast since we held our meeting. We have taken delivery of a ton of earth to top up the vegetable beds and loads of wood chippings to create a new woodland path to help people get through the park in the wet months.

This is likely to be a lot of work.

Saturday October 26 is when we will try to do the following:

• Clear out some of the end of season vegetables, top up the soil in the beds and plant winter crops.
• Create a fence to protect some new plantings.
• Build a woodland path.

We’d all be very grateful if everyone can spare some time, and perhaps persuade others to do the same — more hands make light work, as they say.

We shall publish the minutes of the AGM very soon.

We have also launched a new Facebook Page – it’s very much work in progress, but please find us and join us there.
