We’ve been growing food for the food bank
A lot of people have asked us what we are doing with the crops we grow in the Yvonne Conolly kitchen garden, so we thought we should tell everyone: When we harvest what we grow we are donating it to the food bank at Brickworks Community Centre in Crouch Hill.
We know we are not growing enough food for everyone who needs it, but we also know that even before lockdown many people who live where we do needed more food than they had.
We are part of the community and trying to make things better for everyone in it is what we are about.
We wanted to share a few pictures of the crops, what happened to them, and invite you to join us using the contact form if you would like to get involved in what we have been doing.
