Wray Crescent’s first dog show, September 19

We wanted to share that we will host our first dog show in Wray Crescent on September 19, working with Islington Council’s team of dog experts.

The event runs from 12-3pm on the day.

It won’t be a huge event with lots of stalls, but there will be competitions, prizes, free dog treats (while stocks last), and prize-winning events with rosettes for victorious pooches.

Right now, prize winning events will include agility at 1pm and a seek the sausage competition at 2pm (of course, dogs will get to eat the sausage). We’re charging a nominal one pound for entry to the competitions.

The Islington team of dog experts (Scruffs) will be there to answer questions and provide useful and practical advice on dog training and care – you don’t need to book, just turn up for a chat and get the help you need.

Some bad news, we had hoped to host a mobile pet store at the show, but this plan has unfortunately been foiled due to problems with event licensing, which is a drag.

We are also looking for good ideas and helpful volunteers to help with the show, which we hope to build on in future years.

Come along with your pooch and have a giggle.

(Obviously, as we expect lots of dogs to be in the area at the same time, dogs should probably be on leads to minimise intra-dog rivalries!)
