Winter Workshop: Fruit Tree Care at Wray Crescent, Feb 28, noon
Please join the Friends of Wray Crescent and our friends from The Orchard Project for a short, two-hour workshop on winter fruit tree care on Saturday, February 28 at 2pm.
You will learn about how and when to prune the different trees, and help give them a nice bit of mulching to help them flourish this summer. Please bring gardening gloves.
News and what’s coming
We also wanted to share some more news with you today.
First, we wanted to thank everyone involved in the carols at Christmas. The event was very successful and we raised enough cash to invest in this year’s plants and seeds for the vegetable garden, and in 1.5 tons of topsoil which will be used there – about £250!! Thanks so very much to everyone involved and all the support given to the event.
Second, so much work is taking place in and around what we call Simi’s bee garden. You will have seen the pretty fence going up to help protect the beautiful plants that have been installed there, and lots of work continues on that space.
Third, we are planning our first meeting of the year, please drop us a line if you’d like to join the meeting and receive the Zoom link.
