Please join us for a public Zoom meeting to discuss the plans we have put together for a small festival in Wray Crescent this summer.

We’re also seeking volunteers to help with important gardening work, and wanted to let everyone know that our popular yoga and tai-chi sessions will start up again in a few weeks.

Planting day

We are appealing for helpers on Saturday June 24 (not June 18 as mistakenly on email).

By that time we expect the first of many plants to arrive. These are to be planted swiftly in the new border bed area, and we need your help that day.

This should start at midday, but please join our WhatsApp group for further information as it appears.

Yoga and Tai-Chi are back

Thanks to donations we raised during these sessions last year and additional funding from the Make It Happen fund we’re thrilled to announce that yoga and Tai-Chi will return to the park this summer.

Tai-Chi begins Friday July 7 at 6:30pm.

We hope for £5 donation for each session, but no one will be turned away — anyone who wants to join is welcome. These donations go activities in 2024.

A song for Wray Crescent Park

Frances and Herbie are making a song for Wray Crescent Park. They are inviting people who want to help make the song to get together before the festival to begin working on ideas.

“Are you good at writing poems? Can you make up a tune? Do you like singing?

If the answer to any of those questions is yes..

Please help Frances & Herbie write a song for Wray Crescent Park

They will be at the festival on Sat July 29 writing the verses with everyone. The song needs to be ready before the end of the day, so we can all sing it together.

But they are asking people whop want to help to get together to write a chorus we can all learn for the day. They will meet with anyone whoo wants to get involved on Sat 15 or Sun 16 July (they Arne’t sure which) to begin writing the chorus together. “We can’t do it without you,” they said.
